Along one of John Allen’s trips to South East Asia, he decided to visit the Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia. Very near the temple is where he found a perfect looking mushroom. He brought back a spore print to his labs in America where he worked to isolate and stabilize this certain sub-variety to make it publicly available.
